If you do not know the exact bore inner diameter, you can measure the outer diameter of the cylinder and subtract the tube wall thickness, which usually varies between 10-15 mm depending on the diameters. When selecting the bore inner diameter, approximate outer dimensions of standard cylinders are shown on the right.

The length “E” refers to the distance with the cylinder retracted, from the rear fixing axis D4 to the front end of the chrome-plated rod, right to the start of the thread that receives the front fixing.

Front fixings can be of 3 types, but in the data sheet the dimensions are shown according to TYPE 2, which is the most common. There is another dimension EC, which is the distance between the rear and front fixing axes, D3 and D4.

The difference between dimensions E and EC is dimension H, which corresponds to the distance from the front axis D3 to the end of the threaded rod. Dimension H from the rod end to the centre of axis D3 depends on the type of fixing chosen by the customer (TYPE 1, TYPE 2, TYPE 3).

The rod end can terminate in Male Thread KK1 or Female Thread KK2. KK1 threads are male and serve to connect TYPE 1 and TYPE 2 accessories (the most standard is TYPE 1).

KK2 threads are female, machined inside the rod, and serve to connect TYPE 3 accessories.

A) When an order is received, a full coordination and management process is activated across the commercial, technical, and production departments.

An ORDER ACCEPTANCE is immediately issued and the customer is invited to send their official order, adding data, supplementary messages, and if possible a photograph showing the location of connections or any relevant detail.

B) Once the official order is received, OLIOMATIC sends a General Dimensions Drawing, showing all details and connections to be confirmed and approved by the customer.

When building a cylinder to replace the original, all measurements are taken exhaustively and rigorously.

THE OBJECTIVE IS TO BUILD A CYLINDER IDENTICAL TO THE ORIGINAL, QUICKLY AND AT A GOOD PRICE.

C) After receiving dimension approval, OLIOMATIC issues the 30% invoice and communicates the start of the manufacturing process, which begins upon receipt of the transfer.

D) Within a short period of 2-8 days, OLIOMATIC notifies the customer when the cylinder is manufactured and sends the 70% invoice, plus packaging costs.

E) Upon receipt of the remaining 70%, the customer is notified of cylinder availability, which can be collected by their own means.
